📍 Alexander City, AL 35010
Description
Brown Aero Technologies is a flight training school based at Thomas C. Russell Field (ALX) in Alexander City, Alabama, with a second training location at Sylacauga Municipal Airport. Led by owner and President Regina Brown, a retired U.S. Navy Commander and FAA-certified flight instructor who specializes in training new CFIs, the school is built around a team with a combined 80+ years of flying experience spanning military, airline, corporate, and general aviation backgrounds.
Brown Aero offers private pilot, sport pilot, instrument rating, commercial, and CFI/CFII training, along with multi-engine instruction and advanced aircraft endorsements — training students from their first discovery flight through a professional pilot career, or simply for recreational flying. New CFI classes start every month with no waitlist.
Training is conducted in a fleet that includes Piper Warriors, Piper Archers, and a Piper Seneca for multi-engine instruction, supported by a Redbird flight simulator. The school also works with financing partners to help make training affordable.
